Sam Cooper
Physiotherapist
About Me
Sam is a highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a passion for helping people of all levels, from elite athletes to those managing everyday aches and pains get back to doing what they love.
With an MSc in Physiotherapy and a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Bath, Sam combines strong academic foundations with years of hands-on experience. He currently works with Sussex Cricket as part of their medical and sports science team. His background also includes working with professional footballers, swimmers, and national league water polo players, as well as in private practice treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
Sam takes a holistic and exercise-based approach to rehab, using his background in strength and conditioning alongside manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilisations and sports massage. His goal is not just to help patients recover but to empower them to come back stronger. Whether that’s competing at the top of their sport or simply walking pain-free up the stairs.
Outside of the clinic, Sam lives and breathes sport. He plays competitive cricket and national league water polo, which gives him a unique empathy and understanding of the physical and mental challenges that come with injury.
Sam is known for his professional yet approachable manner, his ability to build rapport with patients, and his dedication to delivering personalised care to every patient at Horsham Sports Injury Clinic.
