Tayla
Physiotherapist
About Me
Tayla is an HCPC registered Physiotherapist and member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, bringing an exceptional breadth of knowledge, experience and genuine care to every patient she treats. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation and went on to achieve a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, giving her a strong foundation in musculoskeletal health, rehabilitation and human movement.
Her interest in physiotherapy began through her own experiences of injury as an elite trampolinist, competing at both national and international level. Having experienced rehabilitation from the patient's side, Tayla understands that injury can affect far more than just the painful area. She recognises the frustration, uncertainty and loss of confidence that can come with being unable to do the things you love, and this understanding plays an important role in the way she supports her patients.
Alongside her sporting background, Tayla has gained valuable NHS experience across musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory physiotherapy. This varied clinical experience has shaped her ability to look beyond an individual injury and consider the person as a whole, with a focus not only on recovery, but on long-term strength, mobility, confidence and independence.
Tayla loves working with people at every stage of life. From helping children develop confidence in movement, to supporting adults through injury and rehabilitation, or helping older patients improve strength, reduce their risk of falls and maintain independence, her treatment is always centred around what matters most to the individual. For one person that might mean returning to competitive sport, while for another it could simply mean walking the dog, gardening or getting up and down the stairs with confidence.
Friendly, approachable and genuinely invested in her patients, Tayla takes time to listen and understand each person's goals before creating a treatment and rehabilitation plan that feels realistic, enjoyable and achievable. She particularly enjoys problem-solving and finding creative solutions when a traditional approach isn't quite right, helping patients feel involved and confident throughout their recovery.
Tayla's background in elite sport also gives her a strong interest in injury prevention and performance. She believes physiotherapy shouldn't only be about getting you out of pain, but helping you understand your body, build resilience and stay active for the long term.
Outside the clinic, Tayla enjoys keeping active and recently took on the challenge of the Brighton Marathon, raising money for Alzheimer's Society. She also loves anything creative, particularly baking and pottery.
Open-minded, curious and committed to continually developing her clinical skills, Tayla strives to deliver an exceptionally high standard of physiotherapy while never losing sight of the person behind the injury.
